RSG are recruiting for HR Manager to provide a high-quality HR service to all staff and Line Managers at a charity in Newham, London. The post holder will need to maintain an effective and efficient range of HR activities including administration, recruitment, induction, training and ongoing development. A key element of this role is to ensure the Chief Executive is updated on all staffing matters ensuring an effective people strategy is in place.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Respond efficiently to day-to-day general enquiries on HR matters.
• Maintain and update employee data on the company database.
• Maintain staff folders with all information pertaining to individual employees and ensure these
are stored in line with data protection.
• Maintain an accurate record of current staffing and leavers through the year.
• Prepare all HR administration forms – update, amend and improve as required.
• Calculate holiday entitlement and prepare staff holiday forms.
• Maintain accurate records of employee absence, e.g. holidays, sickness.
• Draft all HR correspondence including contracts of employment, disciplinary, grievance, and
other HR letters.
• Working with the Investors in People to ensure that our IIP accreditation is maintained with the
aim to achieve a higher standard.
• Take the lead with regards to the recruitment and onboarding of all staff including casual staff.
Competencies
Knowledge
• Educated to Level 5 or above / CIPD qualified with an overall understanding of the key
elements of Employment Law and the way this impacts on HR and the organisation

• Up to date working knowledge of basic Employment Law Legislation (Essential)
• Experience in a HR administrative capacity (Essential)
• Experience of advising and guiding managers on a wide range of HR matters (Essential)
