Qualifications and Experience
- CQSW, DipSW or equivalent.
- Experience of working with children and families
- Experience of working with diversity
- Full Driving Licence
- Registered with Social Work England

- Knowledge and understanding of the implications of the above framework for child care practice and the implications for the foster care setting.

Duties and Responsibilities
- To support, advise and guide carers in all aspects of their care of a child.
- To liaise closely with Social Workers from the placing authority. To ensure there is a two-way flow of information. To ensure that the agency responsibilities in terms of the child’s care plan are implemented.
- Ensure all appropriate work is completed to conform to statutory requirements
- Ensuring placement agreements, reviews and care plans for the young people are organised and implemented for their caseload.
- Contribute to the monitoring of placements terminations/disruptions and their implications
- Setting up and maintenance of appropriate records and files.
- Monitoring standards of care and implementation of Fostering Service’s policies and procedures.
- Identification of issues that require the attention of the Fostering Services Panel, ensuring that the panel receives all the information that it requires, for their caseload (for example complaints and allegations, Form F assessments and Annual Reviews).
- Contribute to the monitoring any national developments on regulation, review of fostering standards etc… and the implications for Fostering Services by liaising with other partner agencies.
- Participate in the Out of Hours support to Foster Carers rota.
- To contribute to the decision-taking process e.g. attend statutory reviews, conferences and other meetings, to attend court when required.
- Undertake Form F Assessments as agreed with the Line manager
